Is a Passion for Physics Necessary to Succeed in Computer Engineering?

Calc/l-algebra/CS/ENG are on a time schedule, but I really like those courses. so my answer is no, that isn't the reason I dislike physics. Maybe it's because I don't understand it, and I'm doing really bad in it right now (borderline fail). You know that saying, you tend to like what...

Is a Passion for Physics Necessary to Succeed in Computer Engineering?

serious. black holes was cool, quantum sounded cool...but now that I'm actually studying it (not quite that, but basic physics), I really really hate it. so my question, I'm first year second semester computer Engineer student, did I make a bad choice?

    Programming language for engineers

I hear that every now and then...but what does it mean? how can a language be dangerous? and isn't c generally taught first in American Uni's rather than c++? c is my first language btw...

Why use unit vector for this, and not for that?

but it did the opposite of just that. the car used 'unit' vector... while the second does not use the 'unit' vector

Why use unit vector for this, and not for that?

the car problem in my text uses the unit vector, and the second one doesn't... how come?

    wickd! got it...thankx, cheers!

Finding theta angle.should be easy one.

finding theta angle...should be easy one. Homework Statement if your given theta (as pointed out by the arrow with #1), how do you know the #2 arrow angle is the same?Homework Equations

L-Algebra, finding h (unknown in matrix)

I get the jist of your explanation to post #2. But this question... how is v2 linearly depdent on v1? it's not a multiple. therefore, how can any value for h, make the set of vectors linearly dependent?

L-Algebra, finding h (unknown in matrix)

sorry  I posted the wrong question in post #2.

L-Algebra, finding h (unknown in matrix)

sorry, I am a little slow...I still don't understand. :frown: the answer in the back, shows no h is possible. I think it would be easier to understand for me, if we used a question with a definitive answer. v1 = {1, -1, 4} v2 = {3, -5, 7} v3 = {-1, 5, h} the answer is suppose to...

L-Algebra, finding h (unknown in matrix)

    or v1 = (1, -3, 2) v2 = (-3, 9, -6) v3 = (5, -7, h) the question reads, for what values of h is v3 in span(v1,v2), and for what values of h is (v1, v2, v3) linearly dependent? I've went over the chapter twice, but still can't find a way to do this. I understand the concept of the...

L-Algebra, finding h (unknown in matrix)

Homework Statement say there's a matrix with rows 2 , 3 , h 4, 6, 7 Homework Equations The Attempt at a Solution I tried to rref it, but don't know what to do next.

So, in a way, they are inverse of each other.

Homework Statement my question is simple and doesn't really fit the template. Is wavelength and period of a wave not the same thing?

Other Becoming an Engineer: Considerations and Personal Experiences

I'm in first year ENG, and I'll agree, it's tonnes of hard work. First half of the semester, I thought I could not make it through four years because I was studying 24/7 trying to absorb everything. LIfe was very stressful. I got to a point where I told myself 'f*k' it, I'm not going to try...
