DC current through a resistor circuit

Hi thanks for your response. I think my mistake was not ignoring R4, what is the reason for that? Does the current not get divided between branch R3 and R4? I took the 8 Amps and worked out the current division through R3 (R3/R3+R4*IS(8A)) This is where I got the 4.4...A from. thanks for...

DC current through a resistor circuit

Summary:: Current through a certain resistor in a mixed dc circuit. Hi, Sorry if this is the wrong forum. I'm trying to work out the current through R1.The answer I need is 2 Amp, which I have confirmed with a simulation software. I have calculated the source current as 8A, the current past...

Dimensional analysis of the equation u=prg

    Well I get; A=0.5 B=-0.5 C=0 but that doesn't seem right.

Dimensional analysis of the equation u=prg

Sorry to revive old thread. So it would be; [L] -a-3b+c = 1 [T] -2a-2c = -1 [M] a+b=0 Then you solve equation? For some reason this doesn't work out for me.
