"In the example of Fig. 1, Maxwell’s equations allow field modes of arbitrarily large frequency both between the plates and outside them, and therefore the zero-point field energy is infinite when the plates are separated by a finite distance d as well as when they are infinitely far apart...
Nah, I am just madly confused haha. It is indeed Light by Light scattering, but why does it have that name given to it? Or how would a vacuumpolarisation second order look like?
What determines the order of the vacuumpolarisation? I've added 2 Feynman Diagrams for refference. The first one shows the vacuumpolarisation of the lowest order the second shows the vacuumpolarisation of the 2nd order. What is the difference?
German Wikipedia mentions that the g factor is one of the causes of the Lamb Shift. It does not say why and I am trying to find a connection between these two things. Any ideas?
Well I am searching for a source, where the Lamb shift is explained in a rather short manner (not going into too much detail).
Other than that I would like to have a better structure in my head, like having a good definition of the Lamb shift and what does it consist of (self energy etc.)
I am working on my physics paper and just realized that after explaining everything I did not add the equasion. Now I am wondering where I can find a good source on them, so that I can add them.
