I Is this correct? Casimir Effect

"In the example of Fig. 1, Maxwell’s equations allow field modes of arbitrarily large frequency both between the plates and outside them, and therefore the zero-point field energy is infinite when the plates are separated by a finite distance d as well as when they are infinitely far apart...

I What is the difference between first and second-order vacuum polarization?

Nah, I am just madly confused haha. It is indeed Light by Light scattering, but why does it have that name given to it? Or how would a vacuumpolarisation second order look like?

I What is the difference between first and second-order vacuum polarization?

Yeah, but on Wikipedia the second pic is described by the words: Vacuumpolarisation second order

I What is the difference between first and second-order vacuum polarization?

What determines the order of the vacuumpolarisation? I've added 2 Feynman Diagrams for refference. The first one shows the vacuumpolarisation of the lowest order the second shows the vacuumpolarisation of the 2nd order. What is the difference?

I What is the connection between the Lamb Shift and the g factor?

Ah I see. And how are they contributing? What would change if they would not be there?

I What is the connection between the Lamb Shift and the g factor?

German Wikipedia mentions that the g factor is one of the causes of the Lamb Shift. It does not say why and I am trying to find a connection between these two things. Any ideas?

I Any other good sources on the Lamb shift other than Wikipedia?

Yeah, that is why I am searching for stuff not related to the Wikipedia article. :)

I Any other good sources on the Lamb shift other than Wikipedia?

Well I am searching for a source, where the Lamb shift is explained in a rather short manner (not going into too much detail). Other than that I would like to have a better structure in my head, like having a good definition of the Lamb shift and what does it consist of (self energy etc.)

I Any other good sources on the Lamb shift other than Wikipedia?

Yea, I've been lookkng through lots. But can't find reliable ones. I tought maybe one of you guys would know one

I Does anyone have a collection of the Dirac Equations?

I am working on my physics paper and just realized that after explaining everything I did not add the equasion. Now I am wondering where I can find a good source on them, so that I can add them.

B Why exactly do Virtual Particles not violate Conservation of energy?

Ok ok I see. Now how does one express this information in like a formal manner? Any tips?

B Why exactly do Virtual Particles not violate Conservation of energy?

Well right now I am trying to finish the 15 page project we are doing for school. :)

B Why exactly do Virtual Particles not violate Conservation of energy?

Ay, cheers! I really appreciate you all for helping me out on this one. As a high school student I really need it haha
