Homework Statement
The figure shows a mast and parts of the equipments of a sailboat. The elements CD and EF belongs to the same plane, CD has 7.5m of length and has an angle of 45º with a vertical line that passes by C. When \theta = 15º the tension in the rope AB is 230N...
Hi, I have the following problem that I can't resolve...
What's the system aceleration shown in the picture if, m1 = 0.25kg, m2 = 0.5 kg and m3 = 0.25kg?

I don't know what to do or how to start...
thanks...
Help, can't solve this problem...
Hi, I have the follwing problem and I don't know how to start...

Hi, I need help with the following problem...
The speed limit of a school zone is 40km/h. A Driver driving at this speed sees a child that crosses the street 13m in front of the car. He applies the brakes and desacelerates at 8m/s^2. If the reaction time of the driver is 0.50s, will the car...
Hi, I need help to calculate the force of T1 and T2...
http://www.arnusa.org/Fuerza.jpg
I know that EF = 0 (the sum of all forces), so I did something like this, EF = T1 +T2 -W1(9.8) - W2(9.8) - W3(9.8) = EF = T1 + T2 - 7.84N - 9.8N - 14.7N, then I don't know what's next...
thanks...
Hi, I have the following problem of Calculus I class... I don't understand it and I don't know how to resolve it, can anybody help me??
A farmer wants to fence an area of 1.5x10^6 ft^2 in a rectangular field and then divide it to the half with a parallel fence at one side of the rectangle...
Hi, I want to know that, the fact that an object reaches its max velocity, does it mean that has reached its max aceleration??
This is my argument:
No, because in a car race, the one that is in first place doesn't mean that it has the higher aceleration...
is it correct??...
thanks...
I have a doubt...
Hi, I want to know, why do we use tanks with cylinder forms for fuel transportation and not with another geometric form, like a 3D rectangle (i don't know the english word for it...) ?
thanks...
