Using air core solenoids in a lab exercise

I've never heard of phyphox. It looks really interesting though. Thank you for that.

Using air core solenoids in a lab exercise

I have a bunch of compasses. I guess I'll end up using them. I like qualitative labs, but these students are very bright and I like challenging them a little bit. However, I'm always short on supplies. Thank you for that link! I'll read through it and see if I can take anything from it.

Using air core solenoids in a lab exercise

I have non of those things. I might be able to find some iron rods though. Most 11th and 12th grade. AP Physics 2.

Using air core solenoids in a lab exercise

I found a box of air core solenoids and was hoping someone could me think of a useful lab to use them for. They are about 700 turns each. They carry 7 to 10 amps. However I think I think I would only be able to provide 3 amps because of the power supplies I have. I would like to use them to do...

B Letter reflection from beer can

How interesting. I never would've thought of diffusion. Thank you! That makes sense now.

B Letter reflection from beer can

The set up The lettering on "Pale Ale" is white outlined in black. The reflection of the letters "pa" and every other letter cast in the shadow is black. And the outlines are reflected in white.

B Letter reflection from beer can

Am I being trolled right now? I figured there would be some physical explanation this.

B Letter reflection from beer can

That doesn't explain anything to me lol. I've tried this with different cans since I first saw this a few weeks ago. And sometimes white letters make white reflections but other times white letters make black reflections.

B Letter reflection from beer can

It's a can. The can is facing west and the sun is in the east. The shadow is being cast by other beers that have been consumed.

B Number of fringes in a 2-slit diffraction pattern

Perfect. Thank you. Like I said, my math was telling me what to do, but when I'm not sure you guys always point my in the right direction.

B Number of fringes in a 2-slit diffraction pattern

Awesome. Thanks. I have all that information. I intend on using the equation λ = (yd)/(mR). The only value I was unsure of was "m".

B Number of fringes in a 2-slit diffraction pattern

When looking at a diffraction pattern made by two slits, and trying to calculate wavelength, what do we count as fringes? For example, in this picture are there five total fringes or, like, 25? I've been trying to set up a lab for my high school physics 2 class and the math says that every...

B LED light and guitar string (strobe light effect)

I've trying to explain this to myself but I know I'm missing something. I tuned the low E string to B. The frequency of that note is about 62 Hz. When I play that note under the led lights in my backyard I can see the string oscillate back and forth. After doing some reading, the LED light...
