Can Adding Alternators to Car Wheels Save Energy?

I had no idea this was a rule (Assuming PPM is perpetual motion) I can't really change the title now though, or can I? As for your answer, I completely get that and know the only way to get some "free" energy is while going downhill or braking. However, this guy is pretty hard headed and...

Can Adding Alternators to Car Wheels Save Energy?

I have a friend that wants to put several alternators on a car. However, he wants to gather the power from the wheels rather than the engine in order to "capture lost energy" and "save" fuel by running the AC and other electrical components off these alternators. I've already explained that...

Nusselt Number for Flat Plate: Laminar vs Turbulent

The Nusselt number for an entire flat plate in the turbulent region has two different equations: One for Turbulent and one for Combined Laminar and Turbulent. How do I know when to use one or the other?

Natural Frequency: Find Equation of Motion

If i move the block to the right that would also compress the k2 spring. Aren't the springs working against each other because of the lever? When one pulls in one direction, the other pulls in the opposite direction. I know I'm missing something here but I can't seem to figure it out

Phase Diagram Question: How to Solve with Ease | No Template Needed

Yes. I actually just had one of those "aha" moments for the composition while looking at this again, however, the lever rule concept still escapes me
