Hello, I know how electron diffraction works, and that if you decrease the wavelength of the electrons less diffraction occurs, so the rings are smaller, however was wondering what happens if the wavelength is increased? Is it just the opposite? More diffraction so larger rings?

Yes the voltmeter was connected across the battery terminals and the ammeter in series. I got a straight line with a negative gradient...not sure which wires they're referring to as the question just asked me to talk about limitations and my teacher told us to talk about heating in wires. I'm...
Ok, so we did a practical where we attached a rheostat to a cell, changing the resistance to get different values of I and V. We then plotted a graph of V (y axis) against I (x axis), the y intercept being E. I need to figure out the effect the additional resistance of the wire heating would...
Homework Statement
I need to know what effect wire heating would have on the reading of the EMF of a battery, and how the heating effect can be reduced!
Homework Equations
V= IR
The Attempt at a Solution
Well I know that the heating effect increases the resistance in the wire...
Ok, I was just confused because there was this one question from an old book that gave us the value of atmospheric pressure whereas none of the other questions have so I haven't included it but still got the answers right...thank you!:)
Hello,
I would just like some clarification on this...
When you calculate "total" pressure at a depth in a fluid do you have to add on the value for atmospheric pressure??
Thanks,
Molly :-)
"A 1200kg car as kinetic energy 125kJ at the bottom of a 20 degree slope. It rises to a height of 10m. Calculate work done against friction."
Relevant equations:
Work = force x distance in direction of that force
Work = KE = 1/2 x m x v^2
I'm not really sure where to start...tried...
"What is the acceleration of a car of mass 1200kg, when the driving force on it is 4000N and the total frictional force on it is 900N?
What is the acceleration of this car climbing a hill with a gradient of 8 degrees?"
I got the first part, as obviously a= f/m, resultant force is 3100, and...
"A cube of wood of side 4cm floats in fresh water with 1:4 showing above the surface.
Calculate a) the water pressure on the base of the cube and b) the density of the wood"
All I can work out is that the density of fresh water is 1000kgm^-3 and the area of the base is 1.6 x 10^-5 m...
