Einstein-Rosen Bridge
Question: Why do we discard Albert's original concept for a black hole? I have one college astronomy textbook which doesn't even mention it. The only use seems to be in science fiction movies and books. Why?
Is it possible that he actually got it right conceptually but...
The Stefan-Boltzmann Law
Question: Is this law proven to be true? If so, then what about sunspots?
The surface of the sun is roughly double the temperature of an umbra which means it should be 16 times brighter according to this law. It isn't.
The luminosity of the photosphere is 10,000...
Appreciate your speedy reply. My problem is I am not adept at Google searches and none of my friends are adept at astronomy.
I guess my questions about the Einstein-Rosen Bridge and The Stefan-Boltzmann Law will remain unanswered for now.
This is a great site but my questions might violate the policy of "new questions are not allowed". Is there another site that is a bit more open? Thanks ahead of time.

The scientific process.
An engineer once told me a joke:
"A scientist is considered a success when his peers agree with him. An engineer is considered a success when he actually gets it right."
After a physicist's comment today I am starting to think it wasn't a joke. The physicist said if...
Conservation of energy
Is the law of conservation of energy absolute?
If so, doesn't it follow that all the energy of the big bang came from somewhere? That the energy of our universe must predate the big bang?
Isn't that circumstantial evidence of the validity of string theory which...
I used to be good at math but I have a brain injury now.
Am I calculating correctly? The speed of gravity is faster than the speed of light? Nearly 4 billion meters per second?
Little help please

Dark Energy; origin and evolution
I have read the threads but I still have some unanswered questions about the origin and evolution of dark energy.
Has dark energy existed since the big bang? If so, why did it remain dormant for billions of years. Or did it spontaneously jump into existence...
Wow! Was not aware of the process. To clarify, before Copernicus the scientific consensus was the universe was centered around the earth. Is that all it takes to become mainstream theory? I ask because mainstream theory is the boundary on this forum.
Thanks for the information.
