How Quickly Can an Eagle Distinguish Two Mice as Separate Objects?

Hello all, I'm little stumped on this question. Have tried multiple times and can not find the right answer to it. Here it is: 1. Question The pupil of an eagle's eye has a diameter of 5.93 mm. Two field mice are separated by 0.0124 m. From a distance of 186 m, the eagle sees them as one...

Maximizing Wired Power Transmission: Resistance, Voltage and Color

Browsing the web here is what I found: "The color of light has nothing to do whether it is powered from dc or ac. Assuming that the lamp is incandescent, the color is determined by the metal of the filament, which I presume is tungsten, and the applied voltage. A tungsten filament changes color...

Maximizing Wired Power Transmission: Resistance, Voltage and Color

Thank you PeterO. I'm still wondering about the answer to d). Is it because DC current doesn't provide a constant potential and is therefore less efficient than a constant current? Or is it because of the calcium inside the light bulbs that some how react with dc current..?

Maximizing Wired Power Transmission: Resistance, Voltage and Color

    1. Question DC power can be transmitted using a wire over distances of a couple miles. On the contrary, AC power may be transmitted using a wire over much greater distances. a) What physical quantity needs to be minimized to maximize the reach of wired power transmission from a power...
