I know this may seem like a silly question to those of you that are well versed in mathematics. But here is my question: Why can't we square circles? What problems do we encounter when trying to do so?
I've read that scientist are working on making a Quantum Computer that can perforn a task in seconds that takes a supercomputer years to do. I don't know if that's anywhere near the speed of light, but it is pretty fast.
I think protesting genetically altered food is stupid. I hope people realize that it could feed people in the world that do not get enough food to begin with. Gimme a break. It is stupid to protest, it is like wanting to never advance our technology or something.
''You can spend your birthday in Heaven, I'll
spend it in Hell. The other 364 days per year, I'll be in Heaven
and you'll be in Hell. And just to show you how fair I'm being,
you can be in Heaven on Leap Day too.''
let x=eternity
your time in heaven every year = 364x
the other guys time...
Cosmologists do not know for sure that the Big Bang theory is correct. Even if it were correct, I do not think they would be able to tell if the Big Bang was a white hole.
That's a good question. I think we need to know more about our universe before we start to go into thinking about other universes. But I just want to hear what all of you think.
i personally think nirvana was overrated. kurt cobain, in my opinion, didn't do much for music.
the red hot chili aren't grunge, they're a little of everything. i think they could have made it without nirvana and cobain.
as for foo fighters.. i think they are pretty good. dave grohl is...
Say if there were a large to infinite number of universes, why can't they be sub-universes that make one big universe that accounts for everything. Would it be because the other universes behave differently than the one we observe or perhaps some other reason? I don't see why we would separate...
If the universe contracted back into a singularity, do you think it'd be possible for the universe to repeat itself again or for an infinite amount of time (that is, once it dies it can start growing again)?
What are you talking about? A pound of sugar is always equal to a pound of sugar despite its structure, because we know a pound is always consistently the same mass as another pound.
I thought the speed of light is the speed of light in a vacuum. Isn't there some kind of theory explaining something moving faster than the speed of light (for a vacuum) in a medium. Karismov theory or something like that?
