Fortran has this type of "If"?
Hi,
I was reading a code from a thesis, obviously the quality of the scan was not good and I reached to this point in the image below, that the programmer uses "If" statements:

Thanks
this is one thing that i really like to talk about,it is true ! for someones it is just there and they can all the things come together,but as i said before i believe this not what happens suddenly, i think if there is a problem in front of you and you understand the solution sooner than others...
it seems there are some very useful comments here,every adult human in the world has some experiences in self developing and has found out somethings about himself .
what you say is right,i exactly one of those persons you are talking about,ask me about musical bands from 1950 to current and i...

Hello
i have a series of graphs and i know the general form of governing equation is:
p = (a + b*x + c*(x^2)) / (1.0 + d*x + e*(x^2)) + f
(x is Degree)
P is dependent on two things:
1-x
2-a constant parameter DH
it means y changes with both DH and x,
the question is i know the...
Hello
I am an international student(mechanical engineering) and i want to apply for Us universities for Phd position, the point is my chance for going to MIT, Berkley and Caltech is not high but after that i have a good chance.I just want to know is there any big and vast difference between...
thank you for reply,i think you have read the equation i wrote in a wrong way,now i rewrite it:
E=(y)+(q^2)/(2*g*(y^2))
g=9.8 m/s^2
q=constant
y=height
E=energy
so it is not a parabola.
but is there any reference book that has different graphs and their equations?
i have a post here...
Homework Statement
i am doing my Honor project and i have obtained a graph like the picture below,now i must give an equation for this graph,any ideas how i can obtain an equation which is compatible with this graph?
thanks
Hello
my question is how and with which methods Equations are derived from graphs,for example the graph below is for specific energy in open channel flows,and the equation to it is :
E=y+(q^2)/2*g*y^2
how this equation has been obtained from the graph?
if in Excel you add a trendline to...
