Hello,
Could anyone help me understand the steps on the below questions?
A cone has a total surface area of 300π cm² and a radius of 10 cm. What is its slant height?
A cone has a slant height of 20 cm and a curved surface area of 330 cm2. What is the circumference of its base? I'd really...
Hi,
Can anyone help me understand how I get to the answer on this one?
The diagram shows a sketch of the graph of y = x2 + ax + b
The graph crosses the x-axis at (2, 0) and (4, 0).
Work out the value of b.Thank you in advance!
Hello,
I'm trying to work out the individual steps to get from start: 3y + x = -1
to: 3y = -x -1
to: y = - 1/3x -1/3
Could anyone help me with this!
Thank you :-)
Thanks for this Skeeter. So the calculation is people X days (in the original calculation) then divide by however number of people are in the question?
There may be a simple way of answering this but I'm stumped! it takes 10 people 6 days to decorate a house. how long will it take 4 people?
Any help appreciated
Hello,
I'm working on solving linear equalities (with equations) and can anyone help with the below question. I know the answer is -16, but I can't figure out the steps that gets it to this.
4x-12≤6x+20
Once I've evened out the x's on both sides and got this to 2x, I'm then left with -12...
Yes, sorry it's not larger in the browser. The question is, in this right angled triangle, both measurements (2.7cm and 3.4cm) are given correct to 1 decimal place (d.p). What is the smallest possible area of the triangle?
Thank you :)
Hi,
I'm trying to work out this question, and the answer I'm coming up with isn't right. Can anyone help me understand the calculation used to work this out?
Hi,
Could someone check that I'm right with this one, or put me right! I've worked the value out as
x=30 and y (2x) = 60. I've come to this as I think it's an isosceles triangle so the base angles would be equal. Am I right?
Thank you!
