    Car Work and Power Calculation

i thought that power was equal to F*V but if you do the math it delivers units of Kg*m/s and not Kg*m/s2. maybe I am using the wrong velocity?

    Car Work and Power Calculation

Homework Statement A car of mass 840.0 kg accelerates away from an intersection on a horizontal road. When the car speed is 37.4 km/hr (10.4 m/s), the net power which the engine supplies is 4300.0 W (in addition to the extra power required to make up for air resistance and friction)...

Two Forces Acting on an Object

    Homework Statement Two forces F1 and F2 are acting on a mass m=6.0 kg. The force F1 = 7.0i + 4.0j + 3.0k, in N. The acceleration of the mass is given by a = 2.0i + 7.0j + 4.0k, in m/s2. Calculate the magnitude of F2.Homework Equations F=m*a The Attempt at a Solution F1+F2=m*a F2=(m*a)-F1...
