I searched all possible keywords and went through the last 16 pages because I swear there was a thread where people listed good books for algebra/trig/precal but couldn't find it. Only threads for physics books (and calculus) recommendations.
So, any ideas on the good books? I'm planning to...
Limited huh..
I'm thinking now I should devote the time for that course to study linear algebra (there are also mit video lectures on it) or pick a self-learning book for C++. Man if only I used my time in high school well.

I know after Electricity and Magnetism there's Electromagnetic Waves, but I never encountered any course on vibrations and mechanical waves in my school's catalog for electrical engineering.
So I'm thinking of studying...
I haven't taken any upper-division classes yet... but doesn't control systems branch into like two fields, with only one that needs mechanical engineering? IIRC the other field deals with signals/data/compression/whatever... I just remember something about developing MPEG and MP3 algorithms and...
EE Electives: take everything...? And IEEE papers..
Information overload.
I'm planning my 'senior elective package,' a bunch of electives focused on a certain field. My problem is that it seems to me ALL of them are important. I mean Intro to communication? Or digital electronics...
Which one? He has two different ones... :p

What do you guys mean when you say stuff like 'everybody can get a Ph.D’?
I always thought BS/Masters were just learning materials. Just like your field and work hard and you'll come out on top. With a Ph.D my impression is that you have to be naturally talented. I mean doing research and...
Any idea on which book is better?

Wow so many awesome books to look at. :thumbs up:
I'm thinking of just studying linear algebra on my own now, since there's no room for me to take it at school (schedule too crowded).
Thanks for the replies. And yeah I was thinking after fall I'll have a better idea of whether I like programming so we'll see. Though even if I don't like it, I'll take it if it's important.
I was just looking at some other schools' EE programs, and they too only have one 'intro to...
I'm planning for the fall semester in which I'll start taking classes that'll count for a CS minor. The thing is, I'm not sure if I need it or not. I'm an Electrical Engineer. I heard people tell me to take more programming classes than the usual EE program the school offers. Many people double...
Thanks for clearing that up.
And the philosophy: intro to symbolic logic course is a pre-requisite for the discrete math course, sorry for the confusion.
Doh! I was hoping someone would say 'nah not really' and it'd be over.
That's 21 units of madness next semester!
Btw multivariable calculus is usually covered in calculus III, right? After your post I looked up the catalog and couldn't find a class for it. It's...
