For example.
I have a question, about what branch of physics would the question be asked?
And is that how you do it here? Ask questions based on which branch it might concern?
Is there a questions topic anywhere? I looked. Many times.
I'm not even sure if this section is the place to ask...
Two questions/thoughts
Isn't the entire containment flooded with water?
If so, why isn't the water shielding the camera from the radiation?
If it is, (both underwater, and shielding is happening), then wouldn't the actual radiation source be much much higher than they are calculating...
It's not clear what you are claiming. It's impossible, just a physical impossibility for each square meter of the planet to have 342 watts per square meter being added all the time. The budget has to balance, the amount of heat in has to equal the amount out or the planet is heating up at...
The IR amount shown leaving (arrows pointing away from planet) is 343.8, the amount pointing towards the planet is 340.3
So "The atmosphere as a whole emits more thermal radiation to the Earth's surface (340 than it does to space (200 W/m^2)" is completely wrong. It's comparing just two parts...
That I understand, and I agree with the rather rigid enforcement of the rules. As it is stated, it's not a forum for discussing new ideas, original research, or questioning the status quo. I've seen where that was tried, and it gets sort of crazy and contentious.
edit> I just came across...
Let's apply that thinking to the topic. It starts off with what is self described as "a hypothesis" about human behavior. That's psychology. Should the author be dismissed and his commentary deleted because he hasn't studied the field? He has no degree in the field, he hasn't published, he...
I'm pretty sure it would start an argument, especially over the concept of "that's not a theory, it's just an idea", or whatever semantic tangle occurs when people violently disagree about something.
Are you saying invisible censorship is happening?
Just kidding. I already know that is what...
I think language, and especially the way language can be used in different ways, is an issue, regarding the Meta discussion you have created. You describe your own personal ideas here as "the hypothesis", and a discussion about it is taking place here. If you described as "my theory" then it...
I received an email with a link to this topic. The headline was/is

Fascinating Science Discussions from Last Week
I read the article, then I read some of the topic, trying to decide if I should respond. I came across the following...
