Determine a point where the electric field is zero

    well that formula would be: (x is in cm) (N/C) = {(k * 0.000004) / [(x+1)^2 / 100]} - {(k * 0.000001) / [(x-3)^2 / 100]} so i know that i would set n/c to zero, but where do i go from there?

Determine a point where the electric field is zero

    Q1 = 0.000004 d1 = -0.01 m Q2 = -0.000001 d2 = 0.03 m Now using that information, I found that the electric field at x = 0.0 m is 3.7 x 10^8 N/C now i need to find out at which point the electric field is zero. I made a program to guess and check for me, and what I...

    Two charges on the x-axis

    ok for Q1 i did F = kQ / d^2 = [k(4 x 10^ -6)] / 1 F = kQ / d^2 = [k(-1 x 10^-6)] / 9 Then i added these two together but didnt get the correct answer

    Two charges on the x-axis

I have two questions I am having trouble with, if you could please help me that would be great. ---------------------------------------- Two point charges, q1 = 4.0×10^6 C and q2 = -1.0×10^6 C, are located on the x-axis at x1 = -1.0 cm and x2 = 3.0 cm Determine the electric field at the...

Why Cant I Figure this stuff out

well this question is due in 8 hours and I still can't figure it out. This will be the last time i bump it up to try and get an answer. Can i please get some help here?

Why Cant I Figure this stuff out

this is the only problem i am still having trouble with, I've been reading as much as i can on the internet and can't seem to get the correct answer, if anyone could explain each situation to me, that would be great

Why Cant I Figure this stuff out

Ok i have revised my answer but it is still wrong, could you please tell me which ones are wrong The son pops a helium filled balloon that he is holding by a string. (Id say unchanged since the balloon is floating in the air right) The fisherman fills a glass with water from the pond and...

Why Cant I Figure this stuff out

i don't understand, the only area where i mentioned weight was in the glass of water, i tried all possible answers for that one, but there are other ones wrong could you tell me a set of rules or explain it more so that i can understand it better? thanks

Calculate Number of Molecules in 1m^3 Air at STP

no, nRT would give me moles, NkT gives me molecules

Why Cant I Figure this stuff out

I need to tell wether the water level rises, falls, is unchanged, or cat tell. The father and son are in a boat wearing lifejackets. The son pops a helium filled balloon that he is holding by a string. (Id say unchanged since the balloon is floating in the air right) The fisherman fills a...

Calculate Number of Molecules in 1m^3 Air at STP

Air at STP has pressure p = 1 atm = 1.013 ×105 Pa, and temperature T = 273 K. Use the ideal gas law to determine the number of molecules in a cubic meter of air. I have tried many different numbers and can't seem to get the correct answer. I guess I should use the formula PV = NkT so...
