How to draw 0.5 amp of current from a 10Ah battery

Homework Statement I am planning to use a Li-ion battery running my 4 small pmdc motors rated at 24V and 0.5amps. Is 24V 10Ah battery enough to provide sufficient power to run my application? There is a current controller which is rated at 3amps and voltage upto 44V. I want to restrict the...

Need help in finding 12v pmdc brush motor

Hey thanks for your concern. I searched for pmdc brush motors with integrated gearboxes. Well I believe that for such motors which i mentioned high torque application result in lower rpm availability. I believe my calculations are perfect and i am looking for wheelchair application. I said that...

Need help in finding 12v pmdc brush motor

Well l am controlling the torque so speed is not concerned much, finding a motor based on its dimensions and the torque as i mentioned above is required. RPM around 60 would be fine for me. I tried global spec, only Anaheim Automation suited me, but it's dimensions are not matching mine. Thanks!

Need help in finding 12v pmdc brush motor

Hi, I am looking for 12V pmdc brush gearmotor either having rated torque of 3.3 N-m or a rated torque of 5N-m (preferable). I founded certain matching specs on Anaheim Automation but the motor seems bulky (around 1.7kg) and have a length of around 17 cm. I need something lesser than or around...

What is the torque required to push an EV?

Hey thanks for replying! Phark! along with the acceleration and velocity curve with respect to time, my major concern is "to plot the torque curve with time", I have initial torque required (i.e of acceleration) say of around 40N-m, I have torques available for climbing uphill and clearing...

What is the torque required to push an EV?

Hey rbj and Phrak thanks for the suggestions! rbj, you suggested to consider the rolling resistance and the aerodynamic drag, that is fine but i think that along with these factors i also have to consider the kinetic energy of my vehicle (here i am talking about the designing of a power...

What is the torque required to push an EV?

Hi, A normal query regarding moviement of the wheel of an EV. In the designing of an EV, I calculated the torque required to pull the wheel of my EV on normal surface as T=F*r (keeping in mind friction and other factors too),where 'r' is the radius of the wheel. Similarly, I calculate the...

Selection of DC motors for EV and controlling them

Thanks for the help No Time. Well I am particularly looking for controlling the torque of bunch of small DC motors operating in parallel, with a torque of say 5N-m for each small motor. I am also looking for some idea to control these motors using Hbridges in the cheapest and non bulkier...

Selection of DC motors for EV and controlling them

Hi, I am designing a small EV and I am looking forward to some guidlines regarding designing of H-bridge (torque) controller for controlling somewhat in between 6-8 permanent magnet brush DC motors , the overall power required from these motors is between 70 to 250 W, where 70 W is for...
