Coulomb's law vs. Newton's law of gravitation?

Thanks Simon, I have tried googling it and I didn't get quite the answer I was looking for.

Coulomb's law vs. Newton's law of gravitation?

What would be the easiest way to describe the similarities and differences between the two laws, other than the fact that their formulas are built similarly and they use different measurements. Any input would be great; I am currently having a brain block! Coulombs Law:F=K (q1*q2)/r^2 Newtons...

    Cosmology/QED/Astrophysics Lectures: Ideas Welcome!

So I am going on a five hour road trip alone this weekend, and I have decided to make use of my time and listen to a few lectures on the way. I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions for lectures or talks on Cosmology/QED/Astrophysics. I thoroughly enjoyed the Neil deGrasse Tyson &...

    Thoughts on Quantum Cosmology?

Argument was a poor word choice, he mentioned a few topics I should say. He mentions that you must abandon a few approaches to quantum mechanics and a few other minor things. It was a small part of the book but it was very interesting so I was more or less looking for opinions on quantum...

    Thoughts on Quantum Cosmology?

I just finished reading a book called Three Roads to Quantum Gravity, and in it the author mentioned a few arguments surrounding quantum cosmology. He did not seem too fond of it, but to me (relatively inexperienced) combining the two makes a lot of sense. What are your thoughts on it?

What are some recommended books for beginners on Quantum Mechanics?

So I have been lurking on this site for quite some time and I finally decided to create an account. Unfortunately I have very little knowledge of physics but I do understand many of the basic theories and what not. I am a second year student at Northern Illinois University and I have been...
