Why are mass, length, and energy relative?

I understand why time is relative, (thanks to Einsteins thought experiments) but why are length, energy, and mass relative. I can see that if mass is relative so would energy be (and vice versa) but I cannot understand why either are. Same with length. Any help?

Sum over histories and double slit?

This still applies in the case of an interference pattern when only one electron is fired.

Sum over histories and double slit?

And that value (absolute square of the amplitude) would be the probability of the electron going through both slits?

Sum over histories and double slit?

I was recently studying Feynman's sum-over-histories approach to quantum probability. I also was reading an interesting paper on the double slit experiment. How do these two work together. Do some of the probability waves not have a out of phase partner to interfere with itself? On a related...

How Do Particles Mediate Forces (Strong Nuclear, Weak Nuclear)

Well no. I understand most of particle physics, buty question is what role does the particle play? Does it create the field of the force?

How Do Particles Mediate Forces (Strong Nuclear, Weak Nuclear)

How Do Particles Mediate forces (Strong Nuclear, Weak Nuclear). Like, what actually goes on to mediate such interactions?

Robot Design: Shoulder Joint for 540N of Force

A shoulder pivot that moves in an angular up/down fashion (when at rest 90° venturing up or down) the main beam (perpendicular to the movable arm) rotating to allow for a wide rang of motion. How do I create the moveable joint itself? And what building material?

Robot Design: Shoulder Joint for 540N of Force

I am making a robot that entails a moveable base and a basic moving arm. I have made a force diagram using a 50kg, 110lb weight 9the maximum intended load. Doing the math (some of it I rounded) I would need at least 540 N of force to raise the weight. How could I design a shoulder joint in such...

What are we expanding out into?

For something to expand, It must have tangible boundaries that are growing. The ever expanding universe, thus must have boundaries. What is outside these bounds?

High Voltage Salvage: Extracting Safely from Old CRT Monitor

I need a high voltage system (Why you ask! Just for that I am not telling you why!). The potential gold mine that I found in my basement is... an old CRT monitor! Great! Will I and if so how will I be able to extract a high voltage system from it SAFELY. It is very old so I may need to replace...

    Fusion with help of accelerators?

The Farnsworth Fusor is an example of this. It takes 2-4 linacs (basically TV tubes with the fronts taken off) And accelerates them to high energies into a small, spherical, metal, "cage" that is electrically charged and fuses them to produce helium3 and a steady supply of neutrons. I am...

A few questions on quantum physics

One; how to determine a wave function of a particle ( let's use the muon as an example) Two; an explanation of wave particle duality with reference to the Airy experiment and the fact that a particle is a wave until observed by a human.

    Wave/Particle Duality: Observing Reality Differently?

So a wave/particle in an observer tank appears. In Sweden a researcher observes it as a wave. In America, a researcher observes it as a particle. Lease give a slution where time is negligible and where it is not.

    Wave/Particle Duality: Observing Reality Differently?

If a photon can be observed as a wave or a particle, and that observation decides whether it is in fact a wave or a particle, what happens when to observers observe the same particle differently? Is it both? Is reality different for each observer?

Science Project on the Photoelectric Effect

My experiment involves parallel plates. Some of the electrons, hopefully will get attracted to the anode and register on the voltmeter. Not all of them need to. Just to show the ratios and such.
