Why aren't microspheres and protocells living beings?

OMG ! Either you are talking about some high standard biology beyond my scope..or there's something wrong with your English!:P Please explain in simple words what you are saying... Regards.

Why aren't microspheres and protocells living beings?

But the Protocells do replicate, adapt, mutate, organize etc..They have all the features of a living cell?

Why aren't microspheres and protocells living beings?

Why aren't microspheres and protocells considered as living beings? What I know is that they do reproduce and exhibit metabolism.. so they fulfill the basic criteria of living systems. I am really confused about it!

What does molarity mean in case of weak electrolytes?

I am really confused about it.Suppose we add 5 moles of acetic acid in 1 litre of water..The molarity of solution will be -(5 moles)/volume of solution?Or it will be -(the number of moles of acetic acid dissociated/dissolved)/volume of solution

Salt Bridge: Role in Half Cells Voltage

In our textbook,it is written that-Salt bridge connects the solutions in 2 half cells and complete the circuit. If it is removed from a cell, then the voltage of the cell drops to zero. Doubt-What I think should come is-if salt bridge is removed, the positive ions accumulated in anodic half...

    Electrochemical cell electrode potential difference

What do you mean sir, when you said-it will have potential of this redox system!?

    Electrochemical cell electrode potential difference

i Got it sir!Ty very much!

    Electrochemical cell electrode potential difference

Hm Sir you are right..So here is my confusion-A metal strip has its own potential, and the solution in which it is dipped has its own..And the difference in these 2 potential is called the electrode potential of the half cell..Similarly there is another half cell with its own electrode...

    Electrochemical cell electrode potential difference

James you didn't understood my question.I am asking for the proof -Potential difference between the two electrodes = Their electrode potential difference.
