The WEI recently released their list of top 10 emerging technologies - the criteria consisting of new tech that could make an impact within the next 3-5 years (hence no fusion). The list is heavily tilted, not surprisingly, to information technology and biology:

Flexible batteries
Generative artificial intelligence
Sustainable aviation fuel
Designer phages
Metaverse for mental health
Wearable plant sensors
Spatial omics
Flexible neural electronics
Sustainable computing
AI-facilitated healthcare
