What is the direction of the induced current in the loop for each situation?

Clearly in situation 4, the field threading the loop is into the page - as signified by the crosses.

First step would be to establish the direction of the flux threading the loops in the other 4 examples. - ie into the page or out of the page.

Once you have established the direction of the flux to start with, we can analyse how that flux is changing; and thus the direction of the induced current.

SO get back with those initial B directions.

I see the examples as
1. top left
2. top right
3. lower left
4. lower centre
5 lower right

Just so we know we are referring to the same example each time.
