So, what if [itex]\displaystyle \vec{v}\cdot\vec{a}=0\ ?[/itex]

Then [itex]\displaystyle \vec{v}\cdot\frac{d\vec{v}}{dt}=0\ .[/itex]

Can you write the left-hand side of that last expression in a different way?
