Inductance coil with water pipe

In summary, the conversation discusses the effects of placing a pipe filled with water inside a coil and its impact on inductance. The question of whether the change in inductance can be observed using a multimeter is also raised. The conversation also addresses the issue of posting duplicate questions in different PF forums and reminds the user to follow the PF rules and guidelines.

If I place a pipe filled with WATER inside of a coil and then half filled pipe of same material, does the inducatnec change? Will the change be able to be observed using multimeter? any ideas?

Please don't double-post. The version of this in Electrical Engineering is probably more appropriate than this one.

Thanks Danger. Warning and infraction points have been issued for multiple duplicate posts by shelly.

Shellysharma, please do not multiple post questions in different PF forums -- that is not permitted. You are new to our PF forums, so you are being treated gently for now. The PF is a high-quality forum where you can get great help, as long as you abide by the rules that you agreed to when you signed up.

I've deleted your duplicate posts, and left this one in the EE forum, which Danger correctly identified as the best forum forum for your question (unless it is a homework question, in which case it belongs in one of the PF Homework Help forums).

And on these types of questions, the PF requires that you show some of your own work and thoughts. So what can you tell us about what core characteristics affect the inductance? What is mu? What is the mu of water?

Related to Inductance coil with water pipe

What is an inductance coil with water pipe?

An inductance coil with water pipe is a type of electromagnetic device that uses a coil of wire wrapped around a water pipe to create an inductive field. When electricity flows through the coil, it induces a magnetic field in the pipe, which can be used for various applications such as heating or water treatment.

How does an inductance coil with water pipe work?

The coil of wire wrapped around the water pipe acts as an inductor, which stores energy in the form of a magnetic field. When an electric current flows through the coil, it creates a changing magnetic field, which then induces a current in the water pipe. This current can be used for heating or other purposes.

What are the benefits of using an inductance coil with water pipe?

There are several benefits to using an inductance coil with water pipe. First, it is a more efficient and cost-effective way to heat water compared to traditional methods. It also has environmental benefits as it does not produce any emissions or waste. Additionally, the magnetic field created by the coil can help to purify the water, making it safe for consumption.

What are some practical applications of an inductance coil with water pipe?

There are many practical applications for an inductance coil with water pipe. It can be used for water heating in homes and buildings, as well as in industrial settings for processes such as sterilization and cleaning. It can also be used for water treatment to remove impurities and contaminants.

Are there any safety concerns when using an inductance coil with water pipe?

While inductance coils with water pipes are generally considered safe, there are a few potential safety concerns to be aware of. The water pipe should be properly insulated to prevent any electric shocks. It is also important to follow proper installation and maintenance procedures to prevent any malfunctions or accidents. Additionally, the magnetic field created by the coil may interfere with electronic devices, so caution should be taken when using it near sensitive equipment.
