How to use physics to prove historical events?

In summary, the conversation discussed the sinking of the Titanic and whether it was caused by hitting an ice mountain or a torpedo. Some factors that were mentioned as potential evidence include material specifications, speed of the ship, temperature of the water, and the presence of a picture showing the point of impact. However, the thread was closed due to the lack of evidence supporting any conspiracy theories.

TL;DR Summary
We want to use physics to prove historical event
Hello all:

Watching few news , titanic came and we start to have a question , can I prove that titanic was sunk because of hitting an ice mountain, and not because of torpedo, should we use material specifications , speed of the ship , and material specifications of the ice mountain

or we need other data like temperature of water ,..etc

I remember they found the titanic is there a picture of point of impact ?

I am sorry, but our rules forbid discussions of conspiracy theories of any kind. There is simply no evidence at all, especially as the construction of the bulkheads according to the plans makes such a cause extremely unlikely.
