In summary, forums may collapse due to lack of active moderation, outdated technology, or decreasing interest from users. To prevent this, regular updates, active moderation, and promotion are important. Users also play a crucial role in the success of forums. Warning signs of a collapsing forum include a decrease in user activity, new sign-ups, and an increase in spam or off-topic posts. While a collapsed forum can potentially be revived, it may require significant effort and resources to do so.

How come whenever I load the index page certain forums are expanded while others are collapsed, and whenever I collapse and expand the ones I want it doesn't seem to remember and returns to the way it was? It wasn't like this 2 days ago.
