Does anyone perhaps now of a book or free video course on alternator design, Like where I can learn about how to design alternators?

This is a fairly deep yet niche area. First what is your technical training (e.g. EE, ME, etc.). Did you take course in electromagnetic, electromechanics and FEA tools in school, for instance? Those are pretty central to the design process of a modern alternator. For example if the following links are "all Greek" to you, "you are going to have a hard time™"

Much of the details of the design process center around 2.5D magneto static CAD (e.g. Opera FEA is one example - there are dozens of packages floating around). The process also involves mechanical engineering as well.
