Inverter propagation delay using the RC delay model

Hi~ Actually I am fine with calculating the delay but I haven't got the concept clearly enough. Both nmos and pmos have their equivalent RC models. I understand how the RC model of nmos works when its on or off but I don't get how the pmos turns out this way. When its off, the upper part...

Linearizing this equation of a curve

Greetings~ We were told to linearize this equation below: y= x^2/(a+bx)^2 after we multiply both the sides with the denominator (a+bx)^2, and then divide both the sides by y, can we apply ln to both the sides? Because I can see no other way of linearizing this :/

    Understanding Master-Slave Flip Flop

I was studying this from some info in found online and i couldn't understand something: "Although this circuit (J-K) is an improvement on the clocked SR flip-flop it still suffers from timing problems called "race" if the output Q changes state before the timing pulse of the clock input has...

Program not giving a fully correct output :s

Hi guys~ I'm currently learning C and we've been asked to write a code where a decimal-system number gets converted to its corresponding binary form BUT, you know, when we do it manually by the 2-division method how the order of the binary numbers go from down to up...? yeah that is the part...

Understanding Fourier Transform: Tips and Tricks for Accurate Results

Hi guys~ I have got a few things about some Fourier transform Q/A that i wanted to check...so here you go: 1) Find the Fourier sine and cosine transform of f(x)=x 0<x<3 ok, for the sine, i get -9/n∏ but i get zero for cosine part, is it wrong? and the second one: find the Fourier transform...

    Surface integrals evaluation problem

Homework Statement Evaluate ∫∫F.nds where F=2yi-zj+x^2k and S is the surface of the parabolic cylinder y^2=8x in the first octant bounded by the line y=4, z=6 Homework Equations We were told that the projection is supposed to be taken in the yz plane but how?? and i have a feeling that...

Clipper circuit in series and its output

Hello all, I've been having problems regarding this attached clipper circuit and its output; i don't understand how the first part remains zero in the output wave form, isn't the dc source -2V here?, if it is then in the 1st positive half cycle AC would turn the diode on but not DC since...

How do you understand the last 3 steps for convolution in the z-transform?

Greetings, We just had 1.5 classes about this topic (due to some unavoidable circumstances in our country...) so our teacher just scribbled and roughly explained them on the board...So after i got home i couldn't get some steps he did for convolution in z-transform: find inverse z-transform...

    Problem with contour integration

I completed the square for that qudratic equation and its like this...→(z+1)2+1 then what? we find the residue for z→-1 to the order of 2?...

    Problem with contour integration

okay...after solving quadratically, then we go for the residues, right? But i don't get the answer I am supposed to...its supposed to be π...

    Problem with contour integration

    Homework Statement Evaluate \intdx/(x2+2x+2) (limits from -∞ to ∞) by contour integration Ok so, this is what i did...: we have ---> \Gamma : |z|=R \ointdz/(z2+2z+2) = \intdx/x2+2x+2 (limits -R to R) +\intdz/(z2+2z+2) (lower limit \Gamma)--> (1) [where f(z)=1/(z2+2z+2)]...
