sorry I made a typing mistake. :blushing: Its mx-y-7m-17=0 but I didn't get what you said. Would you please elaborate? Thanks.

    Simple coordinate geomety problem

thanks for your reply  (6m-8)2 =36(m2 +1) in that step I squared both sides of the equation ,so the ± sign should go away.

    Simple coordinate geomety problem

I'm not sure where to post this. So I'm posting in the General Math section. This is a simple coordinate geometry problem: We have to find the equation of line(s) passing through the point (7,17) and having a distance of 6 units from the point(1,9). Now I'm posting my approach: the equation...

Need opinion on a heat sink (concept)

got it ,thanks. one thing, Can outward flow of cool air below the fan(3rd pic of my 1st post) create disturbance for the fan(since air forces blades on the opposite direction of its rotation) ?

Need opinion on a heat sink (concept)

lets say its a hub sink made of Aluminium,I mean it cools multiple heat source perhaps by liquid cooling or like this one below (can be used for other purposes too) (taken from www.hothardware.com/articleimages/Item1128/small_Asetek_LCLC_3Dmodel.jpg)

Need opinion on a heat sink (concept)

thanks for your reply. So according to you may the cooling rate be improved if I reduce the size of the fan and increase contact area?

Need opinion on a heat sink (concept)

Hello, I want to share a very simple concept with you guys. Last night I randomly modeled a heat sink [the fan is coupled with a motor, cool air will be supplied separately(details are in the picture)], now please give your opinion on it. Will this system work? I don't know if this type of...

Questions regarding Tensile Testing of metal

Can anyone explain me how the load is applied to a metal specimen during tensile test? I am confused because I read in my textbook that after the ultimate stress is achieved and if the load is continued, then the metal specimen fails. But from the stress-strain diagram, we can see that the...

    Plotting e^(a+ix) for Beginners

Thanks bro, now I understand. I thought that it could be placed in same plane, but it seems it still can be done.

    Plotting e^(a+ix) for Beginners

Thanks for replaying ,I made a mistake. b is not constant, I'm editing my post .Sorry for my stupidity. Actually I want to know how to plot the above complex function in cartesian coordinate.I mean in which axis do I consider domain and which one will be range? By the way somewhere I heard...

    Plotting e^(a+ix) for Beginners

I was just wondering how can I plot e(a+ix) and ea[cos(x) + i*sin(x)] (=e(a+ix)) in cartesian coordinate. (a is constant,x is independent variable & i is imaginary number). This is my first post,so please forgive for any mistakes :) Thanks in advance.
