    Convergence of a logaritmic series

All right, managed to get \displaystyle ln(ln(n))^{ln(n)} = n^{ln(ln(ln(n)))}. Guess using n^{2} as the comparison function would work, right? Because at infinity, n^{ln(ln(ln(n)))} ≈ n^{n}, therefore I would it should converge.

    Convergence of a logaritmic series

Homework Statement Analyze the convergence of the following series, describing the criteria used: \displaystyle\sum_{n=9}^{\infty}\frac{1}{(ln(ln(n)))^{ln(n)}} Homework Equations None The Attempt at a Solution Wolfram Alpha says it converges due to comparison test, however I can't...

Just started physics classes I'm hating the lab

Actually I'm starting a second degree in math (there isn't an applied math major apart of the math one in my college). I'd like to have both to get a better understanding of physics besides just knowing the math.

Just started physics classes I'm hating the lab

I haven't considered physics lab as my main job in case I graduate from it (I'd rather do theoretical/mathematical job). I quite prefer chemistry labs, they're boring but are way better than theory. I'd love to major in physics, but I'm not sure if this first labs are this tiresome just because...

Just started physics classes I'm hating the lab

I'm starting on physics I (introductory classical mechanics) and although I love the theory class, I find the lab extremely tedious and tiresome. I'm just two experiments since starting (we've seen grafication and measurement uncertainty) and they are quite disencouraging, specially after...

Are REUs too hard for foreigners to get into?

Actually I'm in the only university with a degree in physics here, but it's not the only university (nor instituion) that needs physicsts. As physics is quite underrated in both industry and academia, it wouldn't be much of a problem to get research experience in my university, but I still...

Are REUs too hard for foreigners to get into?

I've looked up for how REUs are and most of them have a work lapse between May-August or June-August (my semester ends up to July), also lots of them have finance only for U.S. citizens. I can still do research job in my university and I don't want to lose any semester, but I guess it would put...

Programs How much is a major in math useful for theoretical physics?

That's what I've considered too as a second major, just as a backup in case of not making it into academia, it's quite a long journey up to there, but I need to start taking courses for both majors if I don't want to waste time.

Programs How much is a major in math useful for theoretical physics?

With theoretical physics, I'm interested in theoretical CM, theoretical ecology (which can be reforced by physics), mathematical physics, relativity, and that's like most I can remember now. In math I have only a little conceptual approach; besides analysis, I haven't done or learn much about...

Programs How much is a major in math useful for theoretical physics?

Title. I want to get a second degree (major) in something besides physics. If I would like to do theoretical physics (in any subfield of it, including mathematical physics), how much would a math major influence in my skills for developing the models?

Why would I need so much knowledge for a general ecology course?

I'm not limiting myself, I would major in biology (have studied Zoology 1 and 2 myself and love the topic), but I'm asking for the curriculum and syllabus of the course, so I wouldn't need THAT much time invested in order to minor in biology instead of doing the whole major, ofc somebody likes...

History Anyone else thinks that History channel's name should be changed?

At least History is sort of entertaining (I watch it for Pawn Stars, it's actually a funny program), but TLC is way too much. History couldn't be called another way, because all the names that describe it are already used (except for maybe BS channel, I liked that)

Why would I need so much knowledge for a general ecology course?

Yeah, I'm quite amazed by the complexity of ecology too (physics student), and of course you can't get all the ecology in a single semester, that's why there are more courses like Coastal Ecology or Forest Ecology, but a single introductory ecology course (major-type) with a so simple syllabus...

Why would I need so much knowledge for a general ecology course?

Well, it's one of the books recommended for that course (which is a requisite for biology majors), that's why my doubt exists.

Why would I need so much knowledge for a general ecology course?

So I would like to do an ecology course somewhen during my undergrad, but the requisites for a General Ecology are just too big: -1 year in Zoology and Botany -1 year in General Biology (in order to get the Zoology and Botany) I have studied myself the Smith ecology book and don't find...
