Quick question related to magnetism
If I have a magnetic core and place that core onto a magnet, then roll the core on a flat surface ( whilst its still on the magnet), does that increase the permeability and magnetic field of that core ? If so, what is the theory behind that.

We are trying to hydrogen anneal a mu-metal alloy ( 80% Nickel and 5 % molybdenum) with a view of increasing its permeability.

what factors determine the resistance and inductance in a coil and they related i.e. if the resistance is high would the inductance be high ? Additionally, would the resistance and inductance value change over time? I only ask this as we tested the resistance and inductance on our coils...
