omg thanks so much tiny-tim so i get it 81 squared is 6761 and 61 squared if 3721 but evne so i been trying to write an equation with no luck as its supposed to be in an implicit formula, so is it like Xn squared but then i dunt know what to write
1/4 + 1/6 is = to 5/12 of the tank filled which is if both of them are filling the tank in one hour so you have to get a further 1/4 and 1/6 of these repectively so 1/4*5/12 and 1/6*5/12 and add them to get the time, maybe you'll get the rite answer...
Hope this helps, confusing problem have...
i think since pravesh would have 1/2 chance of paying for a lunch on one day, you would have to multiply that by 3 and the odds become less for him to pay 3 times in a row therefore you would get 1/8 from 1/2 * 1/2 *1/2. Getting 0.125
Its not a case of dividing the n-1 by n as it is a ascending arithmetic method as the difference keeps increasing by 2:
1 2 3
3 8 15
8-3 = 5, 15-8 = 7, so the next difference will equal 9 then 11 and so on an so forth, so your equation is essentially using the "box" number, 1 2 3, to get...
Homework Statement
I have to find an implicit rule for this pattern, Can Someone please help me?
3, 9, 81, 65, 61, 37,... and so on
Homework Equations
Im stuck not sure how to approach and therefore get a rule
The Attempt at a Solution
I tried using the arithmetic and geometric formulas...
i think this is the way to do it:
mgh = 1/2mv^2 + Wf
mgh = 1/2mv^2 + mu(Fn)cos theta (r)
mgh = 1/2mv^2 + mu(mg)cos theta (r) *h can be found by using sin of 10.5
Solve for Vf = ?
plug in Vf as Vi
1/2mv^2 = mg(d) , in this case d is the distance you want...
and i think you should get the answer
