How Do You Solve the Coefficients for a Forced Oscillation Equation?

Determine the forced oscillation of a system under a force F(t) = at, if at time t = 0, the system is at rest in equilibrium (x = x' = 0) 2. Equation of motion: x" + ω²x = at 3. I've found the particular solution, but i just can't find the coeficients of the homogeneous solution (...

    How to Approximate sqrt(x^2 - l^2) - l Using x^2/2l for x << l

I need to show that: sqrt(x^2 - l^2) - l ≈ {x^2}/{2l} 2. That should be valid for x << l 3. First I've tried to isolate l in the sqrt, but it got me nowhere. Anyone could show me a simple way to solve this?

Integrated Circuit - Simple question from Eisberg's Quantum Physics

    1. A p-n junction is a double layer of opposite charges separated by a small distance and has the properties of a capacitance. The resistivity of a semiconductor can be controlled by doping. Thus the elements in the trasistor circuit of Figure 13-24a can be manufactured on a p-n-p semiconductor...
