Hi Stephen, thanks for your feedback. The process is described at the outset of the post. However I believe you could interpret it as a sequence of random variables, each with a greater sample size that the previous one, and that the sequence progresses in a multi-exponential matter in terms of...
Hi Jarvis (and anyone else interested), instead of a statistical process with a mono-exponential expanding sample space, what about the characterisation of the more general process in which the expansion is multi-exponential in nature. What is the probability of x0 and the associated information...
Many thanks for the feedback. Did not respond as by the time I had seen your feedback, I had seen the feedback from jarvis323 below which was the formulation I was seeking. Many thanks to all.
Many thanks Jarvis323, that's exactly what I believed the answer to be. As you, say the base doesn't matter, but I actually had the base e in mind. Using your terminology I'd express it a little differently to the base e as: pi = exp(-loge(2) x i).
Agreed pbuk. But haven't found on the OEIS site the references or refs to refs I've been looking for. But OEIS and the seqfan group might be the people to provide the info/feedback I'm seeking?
It's not a theory PeroK. It is a framework constructed using statistical theory. It could be flawed but that is for others to argue based on statistical theory. However, I will not post it until I get an OK to do so, as I'm new to the forum and ts rules.
Thanks for the feedback mathman. For me to do this, it would be best for me to present this as a pdf file, ie as an attachment. Will that be OK? Don't want to be presumptive.
Yes pbuk, a very good resource on providing the sequence of taxicab numbers but not on the "structure" behind the sequences. That's what I'm mainly interested in. And I may had an idea on aspects of that structure. Maybe I should find out if OEIS has a forum?
Yes mathman, has anyone come across a formulation for the relationship between probability and informaton entropy in an exponentially increasing sample space?
