Solve Air Heated @Constant Vol: Find 1Q2

moles = mass / (molecular weight x avogadro's constant) avogadro constant = 6.02 x 10^23 molecular weight is something that you can find on the data booklet. you can't leave the mass just like tt. the m you wrote is moles not mass. may i ask you wad you actually mean by 1Q2. delta heat energy...

Solve Air Heated @Constant Vol: Find 1Q2

Its a isochoric process. you are right about no work done. using Q = n Cv delta T, what is left is finding how much moles of air is heat. if not given, just treat it as a variable. more information required. the mass of gas will tell you how many moles there are.

How can I solve a Thevenin problem involving two batteries?

    1) Change the voltage source into a current source using source conversion. i.e current source with current = 12V / 4ohm= 3 A. - lookin at the left voltage source. you will get 3A current source with a resistor of 4 ohm connecting parallel to it. do for the other side(right) too...

Is this another statically indeterminate structure?

FG and DE. note that DE is a 2 force member. hence the forces involved with it is horizontal.

    Solving Collar A, B, and C's Motion

my 5 cents advice: look at the diagram in terms of rope distance. the traveling path of C will be something like: the ropes on the right side will lossen at the rate of twice of the velocity of collar B. This makes C falls. the rope on the left connecting C to A will pull up C at a rate of...

    Dynamics Question using nonconstant acceleration

Why din you try 2nd Order Differential Equation? differentiate twice will induce many unnecessary constants.

Is this another statically indeterminate structure?

after considerin the 2 force members connected to the "ruler", i realize its no longer indeterminate. I resolved the reaction at B using moments at the intersection of tension and the force by de member. And solve the tension to be 292.1 N. (Question solved)
